Jeju Olle Trail Route 7-1@100km, Part 1 of 3
#Route7-1 #GoingExtra #Clocking124km
We have completed enough distance to get the mini 100km certificate. We also fell in love with Jeju Olle Trail and decided to revisit. Hence 437KM is our next target.
We will probably plan to complete everything in total 3 trips. With that in mind, it makes sense for us to cover more this trip.
We did route 7-1 immediately after we picked up our 100KM certificate. Took a bus to the start point at Seowipo Bus Terminal and trekked clockwise back to Jeju Olle Tourist center.
Route 7-1 is a 15.7km route and estimated to be done in 4-5 hours leisurely. We had a heavy breakfast with the intention to skip the mid day lunch and complete the route by 2 or 3pm.
#JungsanganVillage #EongttopokpoWaterfall #GoeunsanMountain
After walking past the Jungsangan village and the Eongttopokpo waterfall, we were greeted by the Goeunsan Mountain Forest path. Beautiful, scenic and therapeutic.
At the top of Goeunsan Mountain, we are greeted with the paranomic view of Seowipo & the coast.
#Tangerines #GiftsOfLove
Going down slope and we were greeted with more tangerines, both plantations and just homes with lots of orange lanterns.
Was gifted 5 huge freshly harvested tangerines by a friendly Korean ajumma. We had to stop her from snipping more tangerines from the trees and passing them to us. She was so friendly. Out of respect, we will not post her photo, just her fruits. They were so good.
Trekked and very soon we reached the Bongnimsa temple and Hanon craters visitor center.
Very soon, we came to the end of the route, Jeju Olle Tourist Center.

#Chill&Relax #WrappedUp #R&RStarts
Chill and relax at the Jeju Olle Tourist Center. This trip we stayed at a hotel nearby ( there are many around). Given a choice again, we will opt to stay at Olle Stay. It is centrally located and just across the street from the tourist center.
It is a wrapped and this concluded our part 1 to Jeju Olle Trail. Now our time to relax. Will be back.
